Recoloring the life, by Ayushi Khare

recoloring life

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Ayushi is a trained Kathak dancer, a painter, a psychology student, an environmentalist, a social worker and a music enthusiast, born and brought up in Madhya Pradesh. You can read her at https://thecoherentrambling.blogspot.in .

THE REVIEW

Ayushi khare writes a story that tells about the broken lives of children that are forced to beg.  The rise of such a girl from the slums and captives of such a racket and going on to make  a mark in the world and recoloring lives of people and such oppressed and helpless children.

The story is more of a fantasy type, real life is far more hard and tough as compared to the story. A doctor in India building a hospital giving free service and then going on adopting children and helping them is a pipe dream alas! the truth being Government salary is just not enough. The story was also more about coincidences which is like a dream that one desperately wants to come true., it is hard to believe but it can be written in a story. This fiction may not strike the chords, but it can be worth a read.

THE RATING

I rate the story a 3/5.

The Unanswered letters, by Cifar.

unopened-letter

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Cifar is a businessman from New Delhi whose real name is Kashif Najam. You can read his art  at http://cifarshayar.blogspot.in.

THE REVIEW

The title of the story intrigued me a lot, but i must admit that the author wasn’t able to intrigue me much as I started to read it. The start was excellent, but as it progressed the story got a bit more filmy, like that of a bollywood movie, things happening with no reason, the suspense was lost with the introduction of Aditi. The character Aditi, has not been properly managed by the author.

The rescue of Shreya has been described loosely, as I imagined the visualization of the scene. More ever, the writing and the poems could have been better.

THE RATING

I rate it 3/5.

Guidance from the waves, by Nisha Raju

waves

ABOUT THE POET

Nisha Raju is pursuing second year B.E. in Inofrmation & Technology in Mumbai. She credits all her achievements  to her parents and grandparents.

MY FAVORITE LINES

“Wake up and dignify thou birth,

For in every grain of sand,

There’s a story of Earth…”

THE REVIEW

This is a good piece of poetry, the poets vivid imagination about a beach, the waves striking the shore, the vessel far far away and the people that visit to shed their emotions is well portrayed. What I did not like is the forceful rhyme that the poet inserted in the poem, I would have like the poem better without it a simple flow could have been magical albeit I loved it .

THE RATING

I rate the poem a 4.5/5.

THE REVIEW

Aback !! yes I was taken aback by this beautiful story. A out of the box concept written marvelously by the author. This story of emotions and innocence is not hard hitting but eye watering, yeah I got goosebumps while reading it.

The end note is a beautiful poem that shall keep you thinking. See you soon is a must read for me.

MY RATING

I rate this out of the box story a 5/5.

P.S: The hiatus was due to some unavoidable reasons. I shall try to be more frequent in bringing up the rest. Thank You!! and your valuable feed back is more than welcome!!

See You Soon !!
